Potholes Hiking Route
This path starts on the main track, opposite the track leading down to the camping field. You’ll see a hiking sign here, with the path heading north on the left side of the river.

You’ll soon be on the edge of the river itself, flowing over rocky ledges. You’ll also find the ‘Shower Head’, a little waterfall dropping into a pool behind a rock ledge. The path continues gradually upwards along the rocks by the edge of the river, which soon looks like a small gorge.
There are many viewpoints from which you can see potholes, particularly near the furthest end of this hike. Soon, the path takes a sharp left, leading across the rocks and passing some fun rock formations. There are some fun little passageways before you reach the edge of a field.

The path heads left here, then back into the vegetation and rocks. After circling around a group of rocks, you’ll find a short out-and-back to some rock paintings. It’s definitely worth checking them out before returning to the main trail. From here, it’s just a short distance back to the farm and the end of the Potholes Route Hike at Gifberg.
