Mittelbergheim Sentier Viticole Walking Route
From the Parking du Zotzenberg, head across the road towards the vineyards. There’s a hiking sign here. Head straight onwards and take the first right leading upwards through the vines. This whole area is a refuge for wild tulips, which you can see blooming in yellow from April until June. There are also many other nice wildflowers growing here underneath the grapes.
Take the first left along a smaller track towards the Point de Vue du Zotzenberg, a viewpoint with a bench at a shelter in the middle of the fields. After enjoying the view, turn right here back to the main track, and take a left.
The walk continues along the higher slopes of the vineyards, with great views of the valley and Mittelberg village below. There’s another viewpoint on the left-hand side of the trail, and shortly afterwards the route turns left down the hill.
Take the first left again to head back towards the car park. This track roughly parallels the upper route, but is now further down the slope and closer to the valley floor. The rest of the way is a gentle descent back to the car park and the end of the Mittelberg Sentier Viticole Walk.
