This short walk from Passo del Faiallo to Monte Reixa gives you fantastic views over the Mediterranean coastline and surrounding mountains.

Location

The hike to Monte Reixa starts at a fairly large car park at Passo del Faiallo. It’s just by the restaurant La Nuvola sul Mare.

Tips

  • At the beginning or end of your walk, you can grab refreshments at La Nuvola sul Mare restaurant, next to the car park.
  • There’s also a picnic area by the car park with tables and areas for grilling.

Passo del Faiallo to Monte Reixa Hiking Route

From the car park, head towards the restaurant. Turn left around the far side, then along the track to the right in the open area. You’ll soon see some hiking signposts. Follow the one pointing to the panoramic viewpoint. The path heads through a few trees before coming out into the open.

A short distance further are some rocks and the viewpoint. From here there are great views, from the ocean to the road leading up over Passo del Faiallo. When you’re reading, head up the path along the grassy ridge. Keep going along here, through a few trees, back to the grassy area and to the top of Monte Reixa.

There are more great views here, so spend a few moments catching your breath. This walk continues a little further along the path on the ridgeline. At the first saddle, take the path to the right leading back into the woods. Cross over the first junction, but at the second turn right. Follow this path back to the restaurant and car park. This is the end of the loop hike from Passo del Faiallo to Monte Reixa.
