This great walk from Little Haven to a fantastic viewpoint at Haroldston Chins leads along the coast before returning via an inland route.

Little Haven to Haroldston Chins Walking Route
From the centre of Little Haven, first head along the lane to the left of the beach (away from Broad Haven). In a short distance, this leads you to a great viewpoint of town. You can look back on the cute cove of Little Haven and also get a better idea of the tide.
You can either walk along the beach from Little Haven to Broad Haven as the first part of this walk, or on the way back. This depends on the tide. The tide needs to be almost at its lowest to make it. Note that there are two sticking-out peninsulas between the two towns, not just the obvious one you can see. This means you need to be able to walk around both of them. At certain times you might be able to walk around the first, and not the second, and there’s a chance you may get stuck between the two.
Either route you take, first walk back to the centre of Little Haven. Walk along the beach if the tides are fine. If not, head along the road away from the beach and take the first road sharp left. This heads steeply up the hill, then along and down into Broad Haven.
Walking to Haroldston Chins Viewpoint
Once in Broad Haven, walk along the promenade or on the sand to the far end of town. At the end of the beach, take the road for a short distance and find the path to your left. The lovely trail leads up the hill again to reach the clifftop. From here it’s about 2.5 km of walking until you reach Haroldston Chins viewpoint.
Keep a lookout for dolphins and seals while you walk. When you reach the viewpoint at Haroldston Chins you’ll find a bench and a small tarred trail. Enjoy the view, then continue for about 250 metres before heading right and inland along the tarred trail.
There’s now a short section of walking along small lanes. Turn right at the first road, then follow it as it bends left. At the T-junction, turn right and walk until you reach a church. Just after the church, take the path to the left around the back of the churchyard. Turn right at the small junction to walk through the trees.
Continue walking along the little glen; in roughly 1.5 km, you’ll come out near the coast in Broad Haven. From here you can either walk back along the road to Little Haven or on the beach (check the tide times). Once in Little Haven, stop off at a cafe or pub, then return to your car or get the bus back. This is the end of the Little Haven to Haroldston Chins Viewpoint Walk.
