Accommodation* is our go-to website for accommodations in Germany. It typically has the best deals and best cancellation options. In the big cities it is also worth to check for self-catering apartments.

Getting Around* is the website we use to rent cars everywhere in the World. In Germany we have our own car but we can recommend it based on our experience in different countries. Also, get a road map* to help you planning your trip. Plan and book your train journeys via the website of Germany’s national railway company and get the app when travelling in Germany. Pro tip: If you a travelling around Germany for a longer time and only use the regional and local train and bus services, check out the very affordable Deutschland ticket: Unlimited trips for just 49 euros per month.


Wise* is great for payments abroad: You can hold and convert between 40 currencies and pay with a single card in the local currency, avoiding a lot of transaction fees. We use it everywhere abroad as the costs are transparent and low and the service is super simple & convenient.


Safety Wings* is great if you are looking for a medical and travel insurance with a good coverage all over the World outside of your home country. It is not the cheapest option but the service is flexible and you can even subscribe from abroad, ideal for nomads. We used the service in the past when traveling in Africa and Asia.
