This easy walk leads to a couple of fantastic viewpoints of the River Lech in its wildest state, plus panoramas of the Alps!
Location
This walk to the Lech Viewpoints starts from the side of the road near a bench in a little group of trees. You can actually park on the side of the road anywhere near the little junction here. Often there are one or two other cars doing the same thing.

Lech Viewpoints Walking Route
From the junction of small roads, take the righthand fork along one of the roads. This leads past a farm to your left. Continue straight onwards, past a small barn, then take the next left, which is signposted.
From here, the route leads past woodland and across some fields towards the Lech River. About 650 metres past the turn, there’s a small sign pointing right. You’ll see a small and slightly unclear path here leading through the bushes just before the open area. Take this small path leading upwards and you’ll soon be at the edge of the steep banks above the river.
Lech Viewpoints
There’s a bench and a lookout here, but it’s slightly overgrown so you’ll mainly see bushes. You can see the Alps in the distance, but this isn’t the best viewpoint. Turn right to continue along the small path. You’ll head through a field and up through a short section of trees before walking through fields again.
Soon you’ll come to a signpost. There’s a good view from here of the Lech River below, often looking very blue. A short distance further is the main viewpoint. You can see a large bend in the river, some sandy riverbanks, a meandering little stream, and the Alps in the background.
After enjoying the view, continue a short distance further along the path by the edge of the woods. Take the next track to the right to return to your car.
